This sculpture was something I have had in mind for a few years. I wanted to create a movie prop or replica quality gun. I can thank Plexi-glass and plumbers epoxy for making this possible. That and an assload of sand paper. I spent more hours behind a painters mask than I ever did working in an auto spray booth. It probably took over a hundred and fifty hours to complete.

Makes me think of the n99 in fallout and deckard's gun in blade runner.

the Blade runner gun definitely had an influence, and I played the hell out of Fallout 3.

DAMN its got all kinds of feels to it. I sense a kind of retro-futuristic yet aged and worn. You've also got nice details like a safety, slide release and mag release. This piece also shows a lot of originality, like the style of the rear sight. Another thing I'm crazy about is how this gun slightly reflects real-world classics like the 1911. In a way it also reminds me of retro 50's style cars.

But with all these awesome features there are some confusing bits, the action being one of them. There is no obvious slide mechanism, and the trigger looks very immovable.

All in all this piece is very, VERY impressive, and I hope to see similar themed or styled weapons in your gallery in the future! (This sounds like a critique, doesn't it?)
