Achilles - 19" - Chavant Hard

First of the senior thesis sculpts to be finished and I only have six weeks until graduation. Keep your fingers crossed. Once I had the inner support figured out it was smooth sailing. I interpreted this character as someone who new very well of his fate and at first would display himself in full armor but as the hot day went on and the bodies began to stop up rivers he would shed most of his trappings. Also I didn’t want some protein pounding gym monkey as reference for his figure. I needed a sinewy, skinny, lanky and bare minimum approach to his form. A runner type. I wanted to portray the speed and tension of Achilles.

Hopefully I can get this one broken down, molded and casted before to long. When a super Sculpey statue falls over and breaks you can super glue it all back together like a jigsaw puzzle. If this stuff takes a fall or takes weathering it has to be resculpted.
